Community’s Knowledge, Attitude and Practice toward Leptospirosis and its Prevention and Control: A Systematic Review

BACKGROUND: Multiple studies have been conducted on the level of knowledge, attitude, and preventive practices (KAP) towards leptospirosis, descriptively, analytically pertaining to its relationship also associated factors such as sociodemographic economic factors. Over years, different community settings sampling frames were applied.
 AIM: The goal this review is identify available literature evidence community's attitudes, behaviours about taking into account variations similarities in techniques, tools, data analysis.
 METHODS: A search was undertaken using electronic databases PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Ovid. Open access articles produced between 2011 2021 analysed, with an emphasis KAP.
 RESULTS: Eight met inclusion benchmarks. attitude not congruent. However, most showed that good knowledge attributed but does necessarily contribute practice. Socio-demographic educational level, ethnicity, age, income geographical location (distance river) influence practice.
 CONCLUSION: More KAP standardised methodology questionnaires regarding leptospirosis are required order formulate effective, sustainable replicable health program interventions prevent from infection fatality. In future, more qualitative should be done further investigate combine quantitative form prediction modelling.
